I taught my mom how to use boob tape: This is how it went
Shelby here! My mom is a three time cancer survivor who had an additional breast cancer scare years ago. She’s an incredible woman with a strong will and the best humor you’ll ever experience in your lifetime. Recently, I left home and moved from Texas to New York City. What I failed to do before I left, was teach my mom how to use boob tape! I stocked her up with every style and every shade. Now, to teach her via facetime how to successfully apply Good Lines boob tape.
Since moving away, we facetime at least once a week. Instead of our normal small town gossip she heard at the grocery store, this week’s meet was dedicated to boob tape.
We decided to do an application together, on both sides of the screen. We’re both using Good Lines 3 inch Straight Tape in Champagne. I will be using 4 inch Gentle Nipple Covers and she will be using 3 inch. Before we begin, we both pre cut our strips about 5 inches long. I normally use 3 to 4 strips per side. I am a 36G and she is a 38DD.
Starting with clean skin, with no lotions or oils, we started our application! First nipple covers! Next, we apply our first strip in the middle of the breast. This is normally the piece that takes the majority of the weight, so we want to make sure to balance that out with every strip we apply. Second strip, outside. Third strip, inside. Continue until you have your desired coverage!
Our favorite pro tip, and one I wanted to make sure my mom remembered so she would have no issues wearing her tape, is to trim the anchor. The anchor is the top part of where you have taped on your chest. This normally carries the most amount of weight. Lightly pull this down and trim it carefully with scissors. If needed, apply an additional strip where you have trimmed the tape to secure your chest!
And just like that, you’re done! My mom loves to wear spaghetti strap sundresses in the Texas heat. Now she can do so without any pesky bra straps! Make sure to hug your mom or mother figure in your life extra tight and continue your routine breast cancer screenings at home and with your doctor.
Please keep in mind this product has a serious hold! It is important to watch the video on our website to learn how to apply and remove our products safely. Good Lines products are not intended for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or individuals who have sensitive or thin skin. Women who are diabetic or pre-diabetic can not use our products. Some women have thin skin around their collar bone or upper chest area so please be cautious when applying tape to those areas. If it is your first time wearing Good Lines, wear our bras for only 2-3 hours to ensure your chest will not experience irritation. Do not wear products for more than 8 hours. Do not expose products to prolonged sun exposure or heat while in use. Do not sunbathe in the product. Do not wear products two days in a row. Make sure to apply enough tape to support your breast size. Not applying enough tape to support your breasts can lead to too much tension on the skin which causes skin pulling irritation. Not following our instructions and guidelines can lead to skin irritation and blisters. Remove product and see your doctor immediately if you experience itching, swelling, rash or discomfort.
